80-20 announced today that it has received perfect replies to its questionnaire from 2 Democratic Presidential candidates, Senators Joe Biden and Chris Dodd. Both senators answered Yes/Yes/Yes/Yes/Yes/Yes to the 6 questions posed by 80-20, and signed their respective replies. To see replies from Senators Joe Biden and Chris Dodd, please visit http://www.80-20initiative.net/preselect2008.html .

Each has therefore promised, if elected President, that he will

(1) order the Labor Department to enforce Executive Order 11246 to break the glass ceilings over Asian Americans, and

(2) nominate qualified Asian Am. candidates so that at the end of his first 4 year term, the number of Asian Am. judges will triple. Also promised is to nominate qualified Asian Ams to become Circuit Court judges. Even an Asian Am. Supreme Court Judges could be in the mix.

Senator Biden is also the Chair of the Foreign Relations Comm. Senator Dodd is also the Chair of the Comm. on Banking, Housing and Urban Affairs. We urged Asian Ams to donate and volunteer for the presidential campaign so these two good senators. Visit: http://www.joebiden.com/home and http://www.chrisdodd.com/home.

When EO 11246 is enforced, 80-20 estimates that within 10 years the number of AsAm managers/executives/administrators will more than double. Specifically, there will be about 150,000 ADDITIONAL Asian Ams promoted to the manager level or higher in private industries; about 5000 more AsAms promoted to department Chairs or higher in universities; and about 400 more AsAms promoted to Senior Executive Service (SES) in the Federal government.

In addition, the dramatic increase in Asian Am Federal judges within 4 years will likely given Asian Ams a better chance to enjoy equal justice, especially when there are Asian Ams in the Appeals Courts and in the Supreme Court.

A rising tide raises all ships. The above changes will generate huge economic and socio-political ripples benefiting ALL AsAms. The economic benefits will spread from merchants in Korean/Indian/Japan/China/Vietnam-towns to everyone one whose livelihood is connected to those towns. The socio-political benefit will help youngsters fighting higher admission bars. Above all, it will mean that Asian Americans have finally established the GROUP political clout to achieve EQUAL opportunity & justice for ourselves.

80-20 expects most if not all presidential candidates to reply with 6 yeses before the presidential primaries begin in 2008. In the meantime, 80-20 urges Asian Ams to help persuade the remaining candidates to reply.

80-20 President Kathleen To said, "Do NOT give any of the presidential candidates ANY support until he/she has answered 80-20's questionnaire satisfactorily. Don't shortchange your children's chance to win equal opportunity and justice through the election of 2008. Ask the presidential candidate you favor to reply to 80-20 today."

A 80-20 Board Member asked, "What is the secret that 80-20 can get such perfect answer from presidential candidates? Its ability to deliver a bloc vote!"
